In the late 1980s, the Hamer Family wanted to find a way to take excess clean sawdust and repurpose it. We decided to start a new business, Hamer Pellet Fuel, and manufacture premium grade hardwood pellet fuel. Wood pellets are an economical, convenient, and renewable fuel made from wood by-products. It is a very efficient fuel with little emissions making it environmentally friendly. With pellet fuel, you get the warmth of wood heat without the mess since it comes in convenient 40 pound bags that make loading easy. Since the sawdust comes right out of our own sawmills and from other local, reliable sources, we can ensure the product meets our standards. With our on-site labs, we perform rigorous testing on every fifth ton of pellets produced to ensure a high-quality premium grade hardwood pellet fuel that burns hot and has very little ash.
